Simultaneous Interpretation

It is performed in a sound-proof booth, where two interpreters interpret in real-time, alternating every half-hour. Listeners hear the simultaneous translation via headphones.

Consecutive Interpretation

The interpreter sits or stands beside the source-language speaker, takes notes as he/she delivers a speech, and then translates what has been said.
